About the Opportunity

Rowe's Construction currently has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of Hay River, NT, on a 6-week on, 2-weeks off rotation. Overtime and some travel to remote camps will be required.

Reporting to the Superintendent of Heavy Equipment Operations, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on various heavy-duty equipment.

While no two days will ever be alike in this role, your more typical responsibilities will include:

• Running tests, inspecting and repairing equipment.
• Identifying equipment usage & breakdown trends to mitigate potential future equipment failures.
• Recommending changes when deemed necessary.
• Working in the field to repair equipment.
• Following instructions and taking directions via two-way radio or by phone.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience along with a Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Mechanic. You'll also join us with a valid Class 5 Driver's License. Previous experience working in the field is an asset.

As our ideal candidate, you'll take responsibility to safely execute the work by following our company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures while demonstrating excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Your knowledge of the construction industry, as well as your attention to detail, stress-management and problem-solving skills, will ensure your success in delivering quality workmanship.

Above all, you'll be a reliable team player who has a natural aptitude for excellent customer service and the physical capabilities required to carry out the role.

About the Benefits
