Description

The NWT Brewing Company and associated brewpub, The Woodyard Brewhouse & Eatery, is seeking a professional line cook that has prior experience working in a commercial kitchen and can prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications. As a line cook, you must have the ability to work in a busy, fast paced work environment that is very team oriented. We expect a positive attitude at work and with fellow employees at all times.  Line cook duties will consist of assisting the head chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and success of the restaurant.

We are looking for part-time and/or full-time employees.

Duties

Responsibilities

-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

-Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

-Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

-Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

-Clean up station and take care of leftover food

-Stock inventory appropriately

-Use of various kitchen equipment and utensils (eg. Robo-coup, blenders, Alto-Sham, mixer)

-Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely fashion

-Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

-Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

 

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements

-Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

-Ability to work in a high volume fast pace restaurant

-Proven ability to work unsupervised

-Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

-Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
