Aurora Geosciences Ltd (“Aurora”) is currently seeking to hire experienced Core Logging Geologists for upcoming exploration programs starting as early as July 2021.

Reporting to the Project Geologist, the Core Logging Geologist will be responsible for the following:

• Identification and description of lithological units, structures, alterations, and mineralization within drill core
• Assist geological technicians in marking orientations lines on core and supervise the core cutting process
• Work with Project Geologists to identify sample intervals and completing the sampling process
• Field work activities including: collar surveys, drill hole shutdown and drill collar staking
• Safety, environmental and production inspections of the drill rigs
• Complying with all Health Safety Security and Environmental rules and company policies of Aurora.

The successful candidate will have the following capabilities:

• 2 seasons of core logging experience
• A B.Sc. honors or major degree in Geology
• Ability to read and write in English
• Standard Level First Aid certification
• Experience working in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with geological database software
• Previous drill management, fieldwork and experience with geological database software is not required but considered an asset
