GTC employs about 35 people.

Responsibilities

Based in Inuvik, NWT, the new Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, will enhance the organization's Human Resources processes, programs, employee relations and corporate affairs. The Manager will work across GTC departments with Directors and Managers to support employee recruitment and staffing; employee orientation, performance management; benefit administration, compensation; employee relations; as well as information technology and administrative support. Mentoring a Human Resources Officer to develop their career, the new Manager will be very hands-on with the full breadth of human resources and administrative matters in leading the function for the organization and providing support to Gwich’in Community Associations and Executive Leadership as requested.

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you bring a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources with areas of expertise in recruiting, training and/or change management. Experience with Information Technology and/or Administrative Support is an asset. You will be prepared to lead the HR function and provide strategic advice, while also rolling up your sleeves to execute programs and manage a small team.
