The role

The Program Coordinator takes a supporting role in the implementation of EntrepreNorth’s programming, activities, and ecosystem events across the North and online. This means working in close collaboration with the Program Manager, contractors, program participants and external partners to ensure that all aspects of events and programming run smoothly. 

As the Program Coordinator, you help to ensure that Indigenous entrepreneurs and social innovators have an enriching, cultural, and empowering experience when they engage with EntrepreNorth’s programming and events. This means playing a key role in building relationships, and coordinating program and event logistics. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the entire team at EntrepreNorth with lots of opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program implementation plans in collaboration with the program manager, instructors, facilitators, and other community partners
  • Coordinate the logistics of in-person, online, and applied EntrepreNorth programming and events across northern Canada
  • Coordinate program participant recruitment, screening, and onboarding processes
  • Ensure program program supports are properly administered to participants and participants, facilitators, instructors, and mentors  
  • Coordinate program alumni network supports and aftercare
  • Support the development of program and community-based partnerships that serve Indigenous entrepreneurs across the North
  • Administer program monitoring and evaluation surveys
  • Process expense claims and other program reimbursements

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in education, marketing, communications, business, project management, or a related field. Work experience equivalencies will also be considered.
  • An excellent communicator who works well with others and under direction
  • A strong planner who is able to support project coordination with many moving parts
  • Has a good understanding and experience of working in Indigenous communities and/or culturally sensitive environments
  • A highly self-motivated and adaptable individual who is able to take initiative and problem-solve to see projects through to completion
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines and priorities with the support of project management software and technology
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Appreciates and is open to travel opportunities across the North
