Reporting to the Care Supervisor, the Resident Care Aide (RCA) is primarily responsible for ensuring all resident care requirements are carried out and met in a safe, timely and effective manner within the parameters of AVENS – A Community for Seniors policies and procedures, legislated requirements, and accreditation and professional standards of care.
Pay and Benefits
SALARY: $67,038 – $76,024 per annum, plus a $2,089 annual Northern Travel Allowance
PENSION PLAN: 8% Employer matched defined contribution (DC) pension plan (if FT, indeterminate)

Education and Experience Requirements
Qualified applicants must have graduated from the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program at Aurora College or another recognized and accredited educational institution. The successful incumbent must have completed 159-110 - Pharmacology for Personal Support Workers (or its equivalent), and be qualified to administer medication. Equivalencies may be considered. A satisfactory criminal records check is required and must be maintained.
