Reporting primarily to the Controller, the Senior Financial Officer (SFO) maintains and balances various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, including verifying and balancing all finances which includes balances up to $5M. The SFO will work with owners and the Controller to track and maintain the franchises, as well as loans and leasing applications. The SFO ensures appropriate and effective accounting controls are in place and adhered to, and that financial transaction, payment processes, travel; general ledger maintenance and accounts reconciliations are maintained in a timely manner.



1.Providing financial support to controller

  • Maintain financial records and establish, maintain and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, including but not limited to preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports to a variety of departments to support accurate and current financial reporting.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare balance of books, maintain general ledgers
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems and prepare financial information for individuals, departments within the organization, and clients.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements using computerized and manual systems
  • Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses of previous budgets
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying
  • Maintain good customer relations and solve problems in a timely manner

2.Maintain Company Banking

  • Verify, balance and maintain all company visas and payment for them
  • Keep track of EFT transactions, payments and associated accounts
  • Online balancing and banking, as well as answer enquiries and provide information on banking products, policies and services
  • Participate in conference calls with the investment and banking communities

3.Franchises Management

  • Maintain relationships with franchise brokers and coaches
  • Develop and maintain cost finding, reporting and internal control procedures
  • Verify and balance all franchises and co-ops including Husqvarna, Bobcat, Kubota, Doosan, etc.

4.Pay Utility Bills

  • Calculate and prepare payments for utility bills, and other company accounts paid online
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment information including tracking payments with their confirmation codes
  • Laisse with various companies to deal with payments, discrepancies and related information

5.Accounts Receivable Collections

  • Responsible for printing off monthly A/R collections report and following up on customers over due by 60 days +
  • Keeping accurate notes regarding calls and emails and reporting any changes or bankruptcies to controller where applicable
  • From time to time will be expected to co-ordinate with legal counsel
  • Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems





  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and administrative skills;
  • Grade 12 and completion of an post-secondary accounting program
  • Five years accounting experience or relevant related experience;
  • Must be proficient with common computer applications;
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload;
  • Demonstrated initiative;
  • Attention to detail;
