AVENS currently has an exciting role available providing support to the Care Department as well as Administration

 

Unit Clerk-Full Time

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Unit Clerk is primarily responsible for providing unit clerk duties to Resident Care, as well as providing support services for the receptionist and Finance and Administration departments in accordance with AVENS – A Community for Seniors policies, practices and procedures.

Duties

Duties may include:

-Greeting and completing select paperwork for admissions

-Booking visitors to visitation program

-prepping PPE for COVID programming

-maintain resident database

-assisting with reception coverage

-maintaining databases

-answering phones

-Checks of charts and care plans

-maintaining resident paperwork

-minute recording

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of office administration and/or bookkeeping and the health care/long term care sector
  • A completed medical terminology course is an asset
  • Experience with minute taking
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experienced in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

 

Equivalencies of education/on the job training and experience will be considered.
